Capri has a rich gastronomic tradition so you cannot leave the island without trying these delicacies:
1. The recipe that Capri has exported all over the world, prepared with two typical products from Campania: The famous and traditional Caprese salad, with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes grown on the island, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, oregano and basil.
2. Caprese ravioli: a recipe handed down from generation to generation in every self-respecting Caprese family. It is also considered to be the typical Sunday dish. The ravioli is made from fresh, homemade pasta (simply water and flour) filled with fresh caciotta cheese and marjoram. You can try fried Caprese Ravioli as a great appetizer, or enjoy them with a delicious sauce made with fresh tomatoes.
3. Caprese cake: a dessert with an unmistakable taste that combines almonds and dark chocolate. You can also find it in the lemon variety and we suggest you pair it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
4. Limoncello from Capri, the famous and original digestif created with Caprese lemon peels. You can also enjoy it in the new version of Limoncello Spritz.
